County commissioners’ vote paves way for new parking lot
Kingfisher County commissioners awarded a contract to North End Construction of Norman Monday for the construction of a new parking lot at the courthouse.
North End Construction was the low bidder on the project at $139,948 at the bid opening in June.
Commission Chairman Heath Dobrovolny said construction is expected to start when North End Construction completes a soccer-softball field complex in Enid.
Originally, work was set to start at this time but rain delays have curtailed work on the Enid project.
The new parking lot will be on the site of the former sheriff’s office and jail located immediately south of the courthouse.
In other actions in the 12-minute meeting, commissioners approved:
• Payment of $894 to County Officers and Deputies Association (CODA), which provides continuing education and updates on state laws to county officials;
• Monthly financial reports for the offices of sheriff, treasurer, county clerk, assessor, election board and health department;
• Cremation of Shelly Church, who died in a local nursing center with inability to pay for final services; • Monthly appropriations reports of county offi ces for the month of June.

• Estack, LLC – two 10inch lay flat water lines five miles west and three miles south of Cashion, District 1, and,
• Enlink Midstream – eight inch gas line located two miles west of Okarche, District 3.
