County commissioners approve ODOT modifications to pair of bridge projects

Oklahoma Department of Transportation modifi cations to two Turkey Creek bridge projects southwest of Hennessey received county approval Monday at the weekly meeting of Kingfisher County Commissioners.

District 2 Commissioner Mike Sparks moved to approve the changes.

Sparks said the bridges – one located two miles south and 2.5 miles west of the U.S. 81-S.H. 51 intersection and the other located three miles south and 2.5 miles west of the intersection – have not had starting dates set for them.

ODOT financial assistance is scheduled on both structures.

District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss moved for the approval of two 90-day permits for Ovintiv Oil Co. pipeline road crossings – both for 16-inch fresh water lines, one located three miles south and 2.5 miles east of Kingfisher and the second located two miles south and .8 mile east of Kingfisher.

Also approved were rights of way for Blake Production Company for a pair of three-inch poly lines.

In other action, commissioners approved the following actions:

• $1,200 payment to Durbin, Larimore and Bialick, P.C., regarding lawsuit, Kingfisher County vs. Michael and Pat Barrackman. • County Treasurer Robin Rother’s annual financial statement for Kingfisher County;

• Annual revision of the emergency operation plan of the Kingfisher County Emergency Management office;

• State reimbursements for the offices of district attorney and election board for the months of May and June;

• Monthly reports of treasurer and election board;

• Adding Dennis Holmes as receiving officer for District 3, and,

• Letter of intent with Deere and Co. for mowing tractors for all districts at a net cost of $36,000.

Present for the meeting including all commissioners – Chairman Anthony Schwarz, District 3; Sparks, District 2, and Moss, District 1 – were County Clerk Emily Lee as official minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith, County Emergency Management Director Ryan Deatherage, Sheriff Aaron Pitts and citizen visitor Kelly Buck.
