County commissioners table 6-month bids
Kingfisher County commissioners opened bids from 37 potential contractors for the upcoming six months at their weekly meeting last Monday.
Final action on the bids was tabled so that county clerk staff can tabulate them, lowest to highest, for action at next week’s meeting.
In other action commissioners approved nine contract continuations for the county health department, including Claudia’s Cleaning Services, RK Black Inc. (technology solutions), Pitney Bowes (technology, shipping and financial services), Standley Systems (IT services), First Net/ AT&T, CAC Lawncare and Landscaping, Cimarron Exterminators, Mercy Hospital and Dr. Stephen Arthurs, medical director, for FY 2025.
They also approved renewal of Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma (ACCO) Self Insurance for workman’s compensation for FY 2025 in the amount of $192,675, an agreement with Eastern Oklahoma Youth Services, Pittsburg County for youth detainment duties on an as needed basis, an interlocal agreement with Beaver County to loan equipment to each other, two permits for Ovintiv and three with McDonald Land Services for pipeline road crossings in District 3, beginning at a point six miles west of Okarche and extending one to five miles north, and a pipeline agreement with K&J Construction in District 2 for 12-inch and three inch lines located five miles south and seven miles east of Hennessey.
Additionally, a legal services agreement with Andrew Karim of counsel with Harrison and Mecklenburg received approval.
All commissioners were present – Jeff Moss of District 1, Ray Alan Shimanek of District 2 and Anthony Schwarz of District 3 along with First Deputy County Clerk Emily Lee as minute clerk and visitors Keb Lehenbauer of Railroad Yard and Kera Martin of Terra Star.
