County declares road graders, backhoe surplus equipment
Kingfisher County commissioners declared as sur plus certain equipment for Districts 3 and 1 at their weekly meeting.
A 2018 Caterpillar road grader was declared surplus for District 3, clearing the way for it to be submitted for an online auction, Commis sioner Heath Dobrovolny said.
The District 1 equipment declared surplus involved a 2000 John Deere grader and Caterpillar backhoe. District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss moved for approval of the action.
District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek joined Dobrovolny and Moss in making both actions unanimous.
Commissioners also approved state reimbursement forms for the offices of district attorney and election board.
A contract with Canadian County Juvenile Detention Center for as-needed services in holding under-age detainees received approval as did a public service access drive request for Canvas Energy requiring a 24-inch culvert at a point one-fourth mile east of the intersection of CR 2860 and Lemon Road and a Pioneer Telephone right-of-way in District 2.
Permits for 9 pipeline rights-of-way were approved for the following:
• BCE Mach III Mid-stream Holdings, including a 12-inch poly line in District 2 six miles east of Dover, and a 12-inch line in District 1 located six miles east of Okarche.
• Markwest Energy Operating Co. – four crossing permits including two in District 1, both in the vicinity of four miles south and three miles east of Kingfisher, and two in District 3, one located two miles south and one mile west of Kingfisher and the second one mile south and one mile west of Kingfisher, all for 12-inch steel gas lines.
• K&J Construction – permit for a four-inch poly line in District 1 located four miles north and three miles east of Kingfisher and a 12-inch lay flat line in District 2 located 11 miles east of Dover.
• Ovintiv – three-inch poly line located eight miles south and two miles east of Kingfisher, District 1.
