County handles routine business at Wednesday meeting
Kingfisher County commissioners Wednesday declared a number of pieces of equipment surplus.
The action involved six items for District 3, which will go in the Circuit Engineering District #8 auction in March.
The items include two Armor Lite belly dump trailers, a 2016 Freightliner truck and a 2019 Ram 1500 crew cab 4X4 pickup truck.
Also declared surplus were six mowing tractors, two from each district, which will be traded in on new tractors.
Commissioners also approved submission of a grant request to the Community Safety Investment Fund for use by the Kingfisher County Drug Court Program on the recommendation of District Attorney Tommy Humphries, state reimbursement reports for the county election board and district attorney, a detention transportation claim of $90 to the state for the month of November and a change in the receiving officer for the Big 4 Fire Department, removing Brady Maschino and adding Chelsie Stone.
Two invoices for bridge work received approval one in District 2 over an unnamed creek on EW 730 Road in the amount of $2,500 and one over Kingfisher Creek on EW 760 in District 1 in the amount of $6,000.
Permits for pipeline road crossings were approved as followed: Ovintiv USA Inc. 12-inch lay flat line located 12 miles west and seven miles north of Kingfisher, District 3.

stream Holdings eight lines in District 2, six of which are 12-inch and 10-inch lines located one mile north of Dover, and one 10-inch line and one 12-inch line located two miles north of Dover.
District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, vice-chairman, chaired the meeting in the absence of Heath Dobrovolny, District 3 commissioner and board chairman, who was on vacation.
Also present were District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, completing a quorum, and Deputy County Clerk Emily Lee as official minute clerk.
Commissioners will meet next Tuesday rather than on their usual Monday meeting day as the courthouse will be closed Monday in observance of New Year’s Day.
