County, OJA renew annual contract

Kingfisher County commissioners renewed a contract with the Office of Juvenile Affairs providing office space in the courthouse for agency employees who work with the District Court on juvenile matters.

The contract is in effect for the fiscal year 2023-24, ending June 30, 2024.

The contract is renewable annually. Monthly reports of the following county offices received approval: sheriff, county clerk, assessor, election board, health department and treasurer. Permits for five pipeline crossings on county roads received approval as follow:

• Howard Drilling – 12-inch fresh water line located 10 miles east and one mile south of Kingfisher, District 1.

• Alfalfa Electric Cooperative – line crossing located three miles west and seven miles north of Loyal, District 3.

• BCE-Mach III Midstream Holdings – 10-inch saltwater line and 12-inch gas line located at a point six miles south and six miles east of Hennessey, District 2.

All commissioners were present: Jeff Moss, District 1; Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, and Heath Dobrovolny, District 3, as well as County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith and 911 Emergency Calling Coordinator Ryan Deatherage.
