Kingfisher County commissioner approved requests from several fire departments to seek bids for equipment upgrades at their weekly meeting Tuesday.

Fire departments making requests included:

Hennessey –  request for a new brush truck pump.

Cashion – 2019 tanker truck apparatus.

Omega – two wild land fire-fighting apparatuses.

Bid specifications are available at the office of County Clerk Jeannie Boevers.

Bids will be accepted at Boevers’ office until 4 p.m. Feb. 15 and will be opened at the commissioners’ meeting Feb. 19.

Commissioners approved a request for a quarterly performance grant payment of $5,000 to the Kingfisher City-County Emergency Management Office.

They also approved naming Lance Schneiter, newly-installed associate district judge, as requisition officer for the court drug fund account, succeeding retiring Associate District Judge Bob Davis, and naming newly-elected District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny as the district’s requisitioning officer succeeding retiring commissioner Keith Schroder.

Requests to dispose of equipment from the health department – a 10-foot table – and Loyal Fire Department – a 1989 Ford truck – also received approval.

Paloma Partners III, LLC, received approval to install a public access drive at the east end of Will Rogers Boulevard (east of its intersection with U.S. 81 – east of El Charro Restaurant) in District 1 and a second access drive 10 miles west of the intersection of S.H. 3 and E890 Road in District 3.

Commissioners approved 33 permits for county road crossings and tabled another.

Road crossing permits requests were approved for the following:

• Kwick Water Solutions – 10-inch lay flat line two miles south and seven miles east of Hennessey, District 2.

• OneOk Inc. – 12-inch steel gas line located 10 miles west and one mile north of Okarche, District 3.

• Devon Energy Corp. – 10-inch Kevlar line located 3.5 miles south and four miles east of Omega, District 3.

• Midship Pipeline – 23 permits – 14 in District 1 and nine in District 3 – for 30-inch steel gas line starting west of Okarche and angling in a northeasterly direction to a Cashion gas plant. This is the start of a line that will be constructed south across the state to a termination point near Durant.

• Tom Stack LLC – 10-inch steel line beginning in the vicinity of four miles south of Omega, District 3.

• Great Salt Plains – three permits, including two in District 2, one at the north edge of Hennessey and another one mile north of Hennessey, and one in District 3, starting at a point one mile north and five miles west of Loyal.

• Newfield Exploration – three-inch poly line located six miles west and one mile north of Kingfisher, District 3.

• OneOK, Inc. – 12-inch line located 10 miles west and two miles north of Okarche District 3.

• SK Nemaha – six-inch poly line located five miles east and one mile south of Hennessey, District 2.

District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek’s motion to table a permit request for Blake Production Co. two miles north and eight miles east of Hennessey until certain points are cleared up received a unanimous vote with District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss and District 3 Commissioner Heath Dobrovolny joining him in voting in favor.
