Kingfisher County’s budget for the 2022 fiscal year was timely filed with the state auditor and inspector on Nov. 10, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers reported to county commissioners.

The budget will be met with $20,880,353.63 estimate of needs with a carryover from the 2021 F.Y. budget of $15,717,209.88, leaving a $5,163,143.75 balance to raise from ad valorem tax.

Budgeted amounts by county department follow with the difference compared to the preceding year’s budget:

District attorney – $19,162.72, down $1,340.70.

Sheriff – $1,458,317.46, up $580,598.46.

Commissioners – $143,000, unchanged.

Treasurer – $259,600, down $5,064.49.

County clerk – $281,085.76, down $303.76.

Court clerk – $200,240.99, up $465.12.

Assessor – $213,898, up $10,465.

Visual inspection – $598,920.00, up $12,098.

General government (Used for county property maintenance) – $17,341,804.32, down $2,302,985.06.

Excise-equalization board – $5,250, unchanged.

Election board – $128,890.86, up $309.98.

County purchasing – $75,906.93, unchanged.

Emergency management – $84,276.59, up $5,168.56.

Charity – $5,000, unchanged.

Audit/budget – $65,000.00, down $25,937.03.

The county health department showed budget needs at $2,781,186.90, which will be met with a $1,750,569.11 carryover and ad valorem tax of $1,030,617.79.
