County OKs Big 4 driveway
Kingfisher County commissioners approved the purchase of 600 square feet of driveway in front of the Big 4 Fire Department by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to be used to add shoulders to S.H. 33. The price of $3,150 had been approved by Big 4 Fire Department earlier. The right-of-way purchase is part of an improvement project (adding shoulders to the highway) scheduled to start in coming months.
Commission vice chairman and District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss, who chaired the meeting in the absence of Heath Dobrovolny, District 3 commissioner and chairman, conferred with Terry Barnett of Pinnacle Consulting Management Group, which provided the proposed purchase price for the .15 acre to be purchased for the paving project, prior to calling for a vote on the action item.
Barnett drove to Kingfisher to attend the meeting and arrived after the action was taken.
District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, moved to accept
the offer. The contract will be signed and notarized later in the week when Dobrovolny is back in the office. Commissioners also approved a contract with Plan It Fire Alarm System for the new health department facility at $41 per month. Four right-of-way agreements for proposed pipeline crossings received approval as follow: • Devon Energy – three-inch poly line located 10 miles west and three miles south of Kingfisher, District 3.
• Recoil Oilfield Services – three-inch poly line located two miles south and 11 miles east of Hennessey, District 2.
• K&J Construction – 12-inch layflat line nine miles east and three miles south of Kingfisher and 12-inch layflat and three-inch poly line located nine miles east and two miles south of Kingfisher, District 1.
Also present for the meeting were Ryan Deatherage of the county emergency management office and Deputy County Clerk Emily Lee minute clerk.
