County OKs bridge funding change
County bridge work plans drew the attention of Kingfisher County commissioners Monday at their weekly meeting.
Commissioners approved a modification – transferring funds from Surface Transportation Program (STP) to the highway account for a bridge and approaches on EW 720 over Treaty Creek, .1 mile south and 7.4 miles east of Loyal (District 3).
They approved reimbursement of right-of way payments for parcels 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the highway department in District 1.
They approved a plan for county bridge and approach plans for a bridge over Treaty Creek eight miles east of Loyal in District 3.
Commissioners also approved a plan for a county bridge and approaches on Uncle John Creek three miles east and one mile north of Okarche in District 1.
A number of road crossing permits received approval including the following:
• Six crossings for four-inch gas lines in District 1 for Markwest Energy Operating Co. located as follow: four miles east and two miles south of Kingfisher, five miles east and two miles south of Kingfisher, three miles east and three miles south of Kingfisher, two lines at a point two miles east and three miles south of Kingfisher and one two miles east and four miles south of Kingfisher.
• Ovintiv: one permit for a three-inch poly line in District 3 four miles west of Loyal, and renewal of a permit for a 12-inch lay flat water line in District 1 five miles east and three miles north of Kingfisher.
• Leslie Land Services – two four-inch gas lines in District 1 located six miles east and one mile north of Kingfisher and six miles east and two miles north of Kingfisher.
• H2 Services – renewal of a permit for a 12-inch water line in District 1 located nine miles east of Okarche.
• BCE-Mach III Midstream Holdings – two eight-inch propane lines located four miles east of Dover, District 2.
• K&J Construction – 12-inch and four inch water lines in District 2, located eight miles east and two miles north of Dover.
A report from the Oklahoma State Health Department showed an increase of four COVID-19 cases in the county this week.
Cashion had seven active cases, all new this week. Hennessey had six cases, down two from last week; Kingfisher had 13 cases, down three, and Okarche had seven cases, up two from last week.
Present for the meeting were Chairman Heath Dobrovolny, District 3; Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2; County Clerk Jeannie Boevers, minute clerk, and County Engineer Nik Smith.
