County opens Big Four remodeling bids

Kingfisher County commissioners opened three bids on a remodeling job for the Big Four Fire Department Monday and tabled them for action next week to allow additional study.

Bids included: Conquest Construction of Edmond, 48,063.29; Calm Construction of Yukon, $115,000, and, Jim Cooley Construction of Oklahoma City, $157,000.

Commissioners also approved a notice to bid for a ballot printing contract for the 2023 calendar year for the Kingfisher County Election Board, a declaration of surplus computers and accompanying equipment for the office of county assessor, and pipeline road crossing right-of-way permits for the following:

• Ovintiv Energy Co. – seven crossings for 12-inch lay flat lines in District 3 at the following locations– one mile west and one mile north of Okarche; one mile west and three miles north of Okarche; five miles west and three miles south of Kingfisher; four miles south and three miles west of Kingfisher; one mile west of Okarche; five miles west and one mile south of Kingfisher, and five miles west and one mile north of Kingfisher.

 

• BCE Mach III Midstream Holdings – two 10inch poly lines in District 2, one located five miles east and one mile south of Dover and the other located eight miles east and one mile south of the U.S. 81-Dover-Crescent Road intersection.

 

• James Davis Land, LLC – six-inch poly line located five miles south of Hennessey, District 2.

 

• K&J Construction – one location for a 12-inch lay flat and three-inch poly line located nine miles east and one mile south of the U.S. 81-DC Road Intersection, in District 1, and one for a four-inch poly line located two miles south and two miles east of Dover, District 2.

Chairman Heath Dobrovolny announced a meeting of county officers immediately following the commission meeting and a meeting of the ACCO insurance board, which he will attend Wednesday in Oklahoma City and that work had started on a District 3 bridge located 7.5 miles east of Loyal on EW 720 road. He said the road to the bridge will be closed about three months while construction is under way.

All commissioners – Dobrovolny, District 3; Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, and Jeff Moss, District 1 – were present for the meeting as well as Deputy County Clerk Emily Lee as minute clerk.
