Kingfisher County commissioners opened 38 six-month bids on road and bridge materials and commercial roadway work for all three districts Monday at their weekly meeting.

Action was tabled on motion of District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss to allow tabulation of the bids by category – lowest to highest – for possible action at next week’s meeting.

Chairman Heath Dobrovolny noted that some of the materials bid were higher than last year while opening and reading each.

The bids are effective from Jan. 1 through June 30.

Commissioners approved a request to change requisition and receiving officers for Chisholm Trail Museum as follows: Removing Jim Lemon as receiving agent and adding Chris Mendez and Aliessia Jones as receiving agents.

A second request for a change in requisitioning and receiving officers was made for the court clerk’s office, including removing Cassie Coughlan as receiving agent, removing Susan Endres as requisitioning agent and adding Jessica Connor as requisitioning agent and Hailey Countryman as receiving agent.

Commissioners approved a training grant for the Kingfisher County Emergency Management office at the request of Director Steve Loftis, who attended the meeting. He said the performance training grant would be used for Assistant Director Ryan Deatherage for state meeting expenses.

A third dealt with an ODOT modification for emergency flooding repairs on D-C on E730 Road at 291.2.

Moss moved for approval of proposed plans for the Phillips Bridge and approaches on NS 2890 and EW 690 roads, moving the project a step closer to work starting.
