County opens waterline bids
Kingfisher County commissioners opened nine bids for water line replacement for Rural Water District No 3 at their weekly meeting Monday.
Action on the bids was tabled to allow RWD3 officers and their engineer to analyze them before making a recommendation to approve or reject.
Rural Water District 3 officers Francis Nault and Ross Barrick and Engineer Phil Brown attended the meeting and took possession of the bids after county commissioners tabled action after they were opened.
Bidders on the Kingfisher Rural Water District #3 project and their bids included:
Marsau Enterprises, Inc. – $1,050,382.50 (PVC pipe) and $879,665 (poly pipe).
McGuire Brothers Construction – no bid on PVC pipe and $1,138,490 bid on poly pipe.
M&T Septic and Backhoe Service – $1,198,682.50 ( PVC) and $1,199,537.50 (poly pipe).
Lonehickory Cattle, LLC – $1,139,350 (PVC pipe) and $1,139,350 (Poly pipe).
Sooner Site Utility and Construction – $1,088,850 (PVC) and $979,175 (poly pipe).
Orr Construction – $1,525,600 (PVC) and $1,106,900 (Poly).
C-P Integrated Services, Inc. $1,671,164.69 (PVC) and $1,338,803.19 (poly).
Timco Blasting and Coatings, Inc. – $1,379,895.02 (PVC) and $1,233,584.24 (poly).
General Underground – $1,154,043.20 (same bid for both type pipes.)
Commissioners also opened bids for improvements for Okarche Rural Water District.
Bidders and their bids on the Okarche Project included:
McGuire Brothers Construction – $1,196,580.
Sooner Site Utility and Construction – $954,325.
Lonehickory Cattle, LLC – $1,226,725.
Commissioners tabled action also on the Okarche Rural Water District, to allow study by district officials.
Others present for the bid opening included Joel Crawford and D. Miler of C-P Integrated Services.
Commissioners approved soliciting bids for removal of old fencing and replacing it with a new fence and gate for Chisholm Trail Museum.
Bids will be accepted at the office of County Clerk Jeannie Boevers until 4 p.m, Aug. 26 and will be opened at county commissioners regular meeting on Aug. 29.
Bid specifications may be obtained in a bid packet at the county clerk’s office.
Commissioners also approved an application for a grant to improve the county’s 911 emergency call service to the Oklahoma 911 Management Authority.
The application states that a new GIS (Geographic Information System) and maintenance contract would be advantageous to the county 911 system and affirms that local funding is available to meet grant requirements.
An application for an access drive installation for RK&R Dozer Service (Devon) located 2,000 feet west of the intersection of county roads 2810 and 860 – north into location – received approval.
A 24-inch culvert for the drive received approval.
County Engineer Nik Smith said the location would not require a culvert but the company requested one to provide better access.
A detention transportation claim to the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs received approval as did payment of $4,550 dues to Northern Oklahoma Development Authority for Fiscal Year 22-23.
