County purchasing more property for bridge project
Kingfisher County commissioners on Monday approved a 50% offer of $1,400 to purchase additional property for the Uncle John Creek bridge replacement on East Robberts Avenue at their weekly meeting.
District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss said the additional right-of-way is required to accommodate utility easements at the bridge location.
Commissioners approved reimbursement forms for the state’s share of operating expenses for the offices of district attorney and election board.
Right-of-way permits were issued for the following road crossings:
• Ovintiv Energy – 90day permit for three-inch water line located seven miles west and three miles north of Okarche, District 3.
• Enlink Midstream – two permits for eight-inch and six-inch permanent gas lines, both located in the same vicinity three miles north and two miles east of Kingfisher, District 1.
• Overflow Energy Stack – two eight inch water lines, one in District 1 and one in District 3 but located in the same vicinity two miles north and two miles east of Kingfisher.
• Recoil Oilfield Services – water line located four miles north and three miles west of Kingfisher, District 1.
• Canvas Energy LLC – driveway with 24-inch culvert located .9 mile west of intersection of N2900 and E790 roads, about five miles east and one mile north of Kingfisher.
Commission Chairman Heath Dobrovolny reported he would attend a commissioner training session Monday at Stillwater and a meeting of the insurance committee of the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma (ACCO) Wednesday.
District 2 Commissioner Ray Alan Shimanek completed the board of commissioners at the meeting.
Also present were County Engineer Nik Smith, County Clerk Jeannie Boevers as minute clerk, Monty Taylor of Dover and Steve Loftis and Ryan Deatherage of the Kingfisher County Emergency Management office.
A report on the meeting agenda showed a total of 26 active COVID cases in the county as of Monday (down from last week) with the following cases by community: Cashion, eight; Kingfisher, six, and Okarche, 12. The report showed 4,792 cases recovered and 69 deaths in the county since the start of the pandemic.
