County senior is Academic All-State
Cashion’s Davis among 100 honorees among public schools
One of the top high school seniors in Oklahoma resides in Kingfisher County.
Cashion High School’s Alyssa Davis has earned the title of Academic All-State from the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence.
Only 100 public high school seniors earn the distinction this year.
Davis was selected from among hundreds of applications statewide.
This year’s class, the 38th, averaged a 33 on the ACT and a 4.25 GPA.
Davis has been active in band and the academic team all four years at Cashion.
She was also a softball manager for two years.
She’s been named to the National Honor Society and served a year as the chapter president.
She’s also a two-time captain on the academic team, twice earned all-conference and was a part of Cashion’s teams that were state runners- up in 2021 and third place in 2022.
In band, she was named first chair oboe for Red Carpet Honor Band.
Davis plans to attend the University of Oklahoma on a full-ride academic scholarship.
According to Cashion High School Principal Ryan Schenk, Davis has been offered “hundreds of thousands of dollars” in scholarships.
The daughter of Kelly and Erica Davis, she will major in biology/pre-med and plans to attend medical school to become a cardiologist.
“Alyssa is an unbelievably kind, humble and talented student and musician. She has a heart for serving others, and she puts all of her heart into everything she does,” Schenk said.
“We at Cashion Schools are incredibly proud of Alyssa and her selection to Academic All-State. She is blessed with a loving and supportive family and she is destined for greatness.”
