County taking bids for Hennessey FD brush truck
Kingfisher County commissioners approved a notice to bidders for a brush truck for the Hennessey Fire Department Monday at their weekly meeting.
District 2 Commissioner Mike Sparks moved to call for bids on the unit, which included a requirement that it be fully serviced with all equipment and constructed on a provided platform.
A delegation of Hennessey volunteer firefighters attended the meeting in support of the action, including James Matousek, Cris Pribyl, Jake Streck and Levi Copeland.
The vote was unanimous with District 1 Commissioner Jeff Moss and District 3 Commissioner Anthony Schwarz, chairman, joining Sparks in voting “yes.”
Commissioners approved a plats plan for Gates Estates addition located north of Piedmont Road in Kingfisher County, near Cashion.
Other action items all unanimously approved included:
• Pipeline crossing permit for K&J Construction in District 1 located six miles east and one mile south of Kingfisher;
• Monthly reports for the office of court clerk;
• Sheriff’s Department annual report, and a
• Declaration of surplus for District 2 Commission Office, a Sterling heater, valued at $900.29.
Also attending the meeting were Sheriff Aaron Pitts, County Clerk Emily Lee as minute clerk, County Engineer Nik Smith and County Emergency Management Director Ryan Deatherage.
