Kingfisher experienced a hard frost Monday morning.

Vegetation was covered with frozen moisture as were windshields on vehicles, creating the need for special attention before driving.

Local Weather Observer Steven Loftis recorded a low of 26 degrees at the National Weather Service Station in Kingfisher on Monday after a 32 degree reading on Sunday morning.

Both low temperatures were shown on the next day’s weather report as 24-hour readings at the National Weather Service are recorded at 7 a.m. daily.
