Kurt Thomas, center, administrative manager of Chisholm Trail Technology Center, was the guest speaker of the Kingfisher Lions Club earlier this month along with welding instructor Bill Taylor, left. Both told of national trends in which a higher number of high school graduates are now entering vocational education rather than enrolling in four-year universities as there are now so many higher paying jobs available in the technical trades.
