Four Chisholm Trail Technology Center Digital Technologies students qualified for the state Business Professionals of America Leadership Conference by placing in the top-20 among all technology centers and high schools with a CareerTech program. Those who qualified along with their state placing included Jessica Martin, fifth in Fundamental Desktop Publishing; Gracie Melton, first in Fundamental Word Processing; Leslie Carrillo, qualified for state in Fundamental Word Processing; and Julissa Fraire, fifth in Fundamental Spreadsheet Analysis. The event was held March 7-9 in Tulsa. Also placing was Kiera Beecher who was fourth in Financial Math and Analysis, an online open statewide event. BPA is a national student organization that contributes to the preparation of global professionals through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills for students at the middle, secondary and post-secondary levels. The organization’s activities and programs complement classroom instruction by giving students practical experience through application of the skills learned at school.
