Kingfisher High School seniors Avery Davis and Cash Slezickey have been announced as the Junior Lions for January 2023.

Davis is the daughter of Lindsay and Kelly Kopp and Brandon and Aly Davis.

She’s active in soccer, cross country, Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Davis has been inducted into the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, has been named KHS Student of the Month, received the 4-Point Award, was an Oklahoma Girls State delegate and last year was the runner-up in the Kingfisher County Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program.

She said she plans to attend Oklahoma State University after high school.

Slezickey is the son of Dave and Melissa Slezickey.

He’s active in basketball, golf, STUCO, FCA, Students Stepping Up and served as class president his sophomore and junior years.

Slezickey has been listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, named to the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society and was named a Student of the Month.

He was a member of two Class 4A state championship basketball teams as well as an academic state championship team in 2021.

Slezickey also plans to attend OSU and work toward a degree in biology.
