Kingfisher Rotary Club is currently accepting applications for its annual John A. Francis Scholarship recipient.

The $1,000 scholarship is designed to assist current college students with qualifi ed educational expenses.

To be eligible, applicants: • Cannot be related to a current Kingfisher Rotarian (ancestor, descendant or sibling);

• Must have completed one year of higher education;

• Must have been a resident of Kingfisher County and a graduate of a Kingfisher County school district;

• Must be a full-time student the fall semester following the awarding of this scholarship, and,

• Must exhibit a strong work ethic along with high moral character and integrity.

Applicants must complete an online application form prior to the deadline, which is Sunday, March 26.

Applications must include a copy of high school college transcripts and three letters of recommendation.

If an application meets the scholarship criteria, an interview may be scheduled with the selection committee.
