Don’t be insane: Catch Creative’s performance

There are still two more opportunities to catch the latest production of Kingfisher Creative.

The final performances of “The Insanity of Mary Girard” will be this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15-16.

Showtime is 7 p.m. both days at Heritage Auditorium.

See the advertisement on Page 3 of this edition - or visit the Kingfisher Creative Facebook page - for ticket information.

Written by Lanie Robertson, “The Insanity of Mary Girard” is a oneact drama that critics have described as “fully entertaining, creepy and wonderful” and “a chilling piece of powerlessness and despair.”

It is the real-life story of a Philadelphia woman who spent the last 25 years of her life in a mental institution.

Kingfisher Creative cast and crew members performed the drama twice last weekend.

“They did a wonderful job! Go see it!” wrote Cindy Cochran on the Kingfisher Creative Facebook page.

Added Denise Boots: “Just was blown away by the play! This group presented quite a performance - one I won’t ever forget. So intense. Drama at its finest!”

Paula Leffingwell said after watching a performance: “it is so good and intense!”
