Don’t miss Kingfisher’s very GRAND DAY

By

You’d better be resting up this week to prepare for the jam-packed, end-of-summer blowout next Saturday in Kingfisher.

Here’s a list of the events on tap:

Crazy Days

Kingfisher’s downtown merchants are offering three days of bargains galore, Aug. 5-7, coinciding with Oklahoma’s annual sales tax holiday.

That means, in addition to great sale prices, state and local sales tax won’t be charged on purchases of shoes and clothing, a great opportunity to save on back-to-school shopping.

Kool Cars & Chrome

This retail therapy alternative celebrates its 20th year on Saturday, with cars of all description on display from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. in the Interbank parking lot.

Feeling Hungry?

You’ll find more great eating options than ever on Aug. 6. The Pride of Kingfisher Band will be serving up breakfast burritos and burgers at the car show and God’s Covenant Church will sell Indian tacos.

Downtown shoppers can also visit Block 35 on Main Street for a variety of food trucks.

More Shopping Opportunities

City-wide garage sales are offering everything from furniture to frisbees. If you want to include your sale, contact the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce via phone or online by 2 p.m. Monday. Watch for a list of addresses in Wednesday’s Times & Free Press.

And if you’re still looking for bargains, check out the flea market at the RV park at 19423 N 2810 Road. Watch for signs pointing the way.

Fresh veggies, honey, jams and more can be had at the Farmer’s Market, from 8 a.m. to noon at 505 N. Main St.

Coming to You Live

The crew from Hank FM 99.7 and KNID 107.7 will be broadcasting live from Jacksons Auto Family from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Don’t miss free swag bags, hotdogs and rootbeer floats and a chance to win concert tickets.

Boogie N’ Boots

Entertain your inner cowboy at the annual Kingfisher Round-Up Club Rodeo at 8 p.m. Aug. 5 and 6 at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds Arena.

Then scoot those boots at the Elks Club Rodeo Dance from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Aug. 6 at the Elks Lodge.
