Dover FFA agronomy team wins state
The Dover FFA chapter traveled to Stillwater on April 23 to compete in the state FFA contests, better known as the OSU Interscholastics.
The agronomy team consisting of Emory Norton, Pedro Valles, Gabby Cervantes and Aliyah Bowers, was named state champion at the event.
Norton placed as the third high individual in agronomy followed by Valles, who was fifth, Cervantes sixth and Bowers 16th out of 54 individuals.
The meat team, consisting of Evelyn Chavez, Alec Schilde, Lance Dunigan and Damion Turner placed fifth overall.
Chavez placed 11th individually.
Schilde was 13th, Dunigan 16th and Turner 17th out of 100 individuals.
Fatima Aboite placed 17th in floriculture out of 97 individuals,.
Colton Burns was the third high individual in the state 4-H meats contest.
