Driver’s ed courses near completion
Students take part in class, driving instruction
More than two dozen local students have been inching closer to their driver’s licenses this summer. Twenty-eight have been taking part in driver’s education courses offered in Kingfisher. The courses are taught by Doug Jech and T.J. Harris. They include 30 hours of classroom instruction and then six hours of driving instruction. A pair of local dealerships once again donated vehicles to be used for the driving portion. The top photo shows Jeff Johnson (far left) and Adam Perkey (far right) from Johnsons of Kingfisher. They are joined by students Slade Snow and Alezandro Cuellar. The bottom photo is the car donated by Jacksons of Kingfisher. Pictured from Jacksons are Nick Jackson (far left), Katie Ward (second from right) and Victor Beckwith (far right). Students pictured are Alex Montiel and Angela Munoz. Among those helping out with the classroom instruction (middle photo) were Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers Seth Wallace (left) and Justin Noll. [Photos provided]
