The Kingfisher Rotary club, Emmanuel Lutheran Church And Kingfisher Trails had a successful trash pick-up day in conjunction with Earth Day on Saturday, April 22.

The volunteers picked up trash at the Newfield Community Park, Downtown Kingfisher, including one block on each side of Main Street, Shaw Park & Heritage School.

Representing the Rotary club was Randy Mecklenburg, John Johnson and Jon Benham. Rotarian and State Senator Darcy Jech and his wife Vicky also participated.

Representing both Rotary And Kingfisher Trails was John Gooden, Brian Walter and Russell Hopkins.

Representing the Lutheran church was Pastor Tim McCarty with his grandchildren Joseph and Daniel McCarty, Gracie and Evie Pendergraft, Denise and J Juan Jech, Cliff, Karen and Kristy Benson, Mary Krepel and Roger And Susan Post. Larry Bilger and his mom Joy Bilger also joined the clean-up crew, and Pat and Larry Mann provided the lunch time meal and also helped with the trash collection.
