ELECTIONS: Cashion, Loyal holding town hall meetings to elect officials; Kingfisher city election unnecessary

By

Cashion and Loyal will hold town hall meetings on Tuesday, April 4, to elect new town officials.

Loyal’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and Cashion at 7 p.m. at their respective town halls.

Cashion posts up for election include: mayor, Greg Morrissey, incumbent, and trustees Brad Stone and D.L. Roberson, both incumbents.

Loyal officials who are up for election to new terms include trustees James Savage and Freda Faulk and town clerk Dorothy Glazier.

Kingfisher will not require an election this year as both commission seats were filled unopposed.

Rev. Debbie Burpo will fill one position and Dawn Terrell the other.

Former City Commissioner Wendell Prim term limited out, after completing two consecutive terms, opening one commission position, and former Commissioner Ryan Deatherage resigned to take a post as county 911 director, opening the second commission post. For more on other county elections, see Page 1.
