Elks honor county seniors, award 12 scholarships at annual banquet

Kingfi sher Elks Lodge awarded more than $8,000 in scholarships recently at the annual Elks Honors Banquet. Lodge offi - cers and members recognized honor graduates and their parents from throughout Kingfi sher County during the banquet held May 8 at the lodge’s south room. The lodge then awarded 12 scholarships worth $700 each to students from Kingfi sher, Okarche and Dover. Earning the scholarships and pictured with Kingfi sher Elks Exalted Ruler Daniel Ruhl (standing far left) were, from left: seated, Alia Suanny of Okarche, Raegan Snider of Kingfi sher and Madison Goodwin of Dover; and back row, Keylun Combs of Kingfi sher, Carter Kitchens of Dover and Keynun Combs, Landon Schroeder, Paytun Burnham, Cale Leck, William Shaver and Colton Livingston, all of Kingfi sher.
