The 53rd Ellyson family reunion was held Sunday, July 9, at the Elks Lodge in Kingfisher.

Hosting this year’s reunion were the Earnest and Joe Ellyson families.

The reunion opened with prayer and also included a meal, a family history trivia game, pictures and visiting.

Sixty family members were present for this year’s reunion.

They included: Roy and Joann Oliver and Matt of Cashion; Jim Bob and Shannon Dunn and Braiden and Tylor Garcia of Crescent; Heather Frenchman, Shelbie and David of Dewey; BJ and Kari Bender, Hattie and Titan, and Paul and Tammy Wehrenberg, all of Edmond; Sherry Mason of Guthrie; Joe and Patricia Pursell, Jocelyn Pursell, Jansen and Joleigh Tettamanti from Henderson, Nev.; and Jason Pursell from Las Vegas, Nev.

Also attending were Winston and Mary Ellyson of Hennessey; Mike and Donetta Edge, Jimmie and Glenda Ellyson, Wayne and Clairetta Lowe, Glanice McAdoo, and Robert and Wilma Wehrenberg, all of Kingfisher; Michael Wehrenberg of Norman and friend John Woodarcyk of Katy, Texas; Dan and Waynette Alig, and Erin Alig of Okarche.

Those attending from Oklahoma City were Natalie Alig; Barbara and Charles Rogers; Terry Rogers, Landon and Brianna; Sean and Leah Strickland, Knox and Rowe; Wanda and Vicki Vernon; David and Stacy Wehrenberg, Ian and Parker; and Mark and Amy Wehrenberg.

Also, Phillip and Darlene Ellyson, and Kylee Barrett of Purcell.

The Ellysons’ 54th reunion is scheduled for July 7, 2024, at the Elks Lodge in Kingfisher.

The Charles and Lee Ellyson families will host the event.
