Enid man dies in crash

By

An Enid man was killed Thursday when his 2017 Nissan Altima collided with the back of a front-end loader three and a half miles east of Hennessey.

Caden Clark, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Life EMS, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Kale Broomfield, 23, the driver of the 2016 John Deere front-end loader, was not reported injured.

Both vehicles were traveling west on S.H. 51 when the driver of the front-end loader attempted to turn left.

Clark’s car passed multiple vehicles before colliding with the rear of the frontend loader, according to the report.

Clark was pinned inside his vehicle before he was extricated by the Hennessey Fire Department, using a Jaws of Life rescue tool.

The accident is being investigated by OHP Trooper Sammy Lee from the Kingfisher County Detachment of Troop J.

He was assisted at the scene by OHP Lt. John Weimer, troopers Lane Gossen, Trey Mathews and Joshua Byrd, Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, HFD and Life EMS.
