Extension office forced to move
The Kingfisher County OSU Extension office will be in turmoil Monday.
The office is moving due to water damage to its old office on the second floor of the Courthouse Annex from flooding after a commode failed to stop running after flushing.
Extension Director Bryan Kennedy said county commissioners have arranged for a mobile office to be set up at the county fairgrounds on Monday.
Telephone and utility services are scheduled to be installed on Monday as office employees move necessary equipment to the site.
Years of documents had accumulated in the old office, many of which will also have to be transferred.
Kennedy said he understood that furniture will be available for the staff in the temporary offices so the old office furniture will not have to be transferred, at least immediately.
Oklahoma State University will send a team to hook up vital communications equipment.
