There was no shortage of things to do in Kingfisher on the Fourth of July. Parade. Home run derby. Train rides. Free swimming. Face painting. Food trucks. Duck race. Turtle races. Sack races. Balloon tosses. Live music. And - of course- fireworks. Pictured are some scenes from the day full of activities. Far left: Braylee Wittrock, Lillie Martin and Kaitlee Martin react during one of the turtle races hosted by the Kingfisher Lions Club at Homier Park. Top right: Addie Francis, Brinkley Taylor, Fenley Hedrick and Emily Francis ride in the bed of a pickup-truck during the annual Fourth of July parade in downtown Kingfisher. Middle right: Daniel Mayfield takes a brief shower in the hot afternoon sun as a water balloon pops during the Rotary Club’s balloon toss. Bottom right: Rotary also hosted a three-legged sack race. Among those taking part were Ryder Biehler and Axel Biehler as well as Jentry Brooks and Milee McKee. [KT&FP Staff Photos]
