Farmer’s Market season begins Saturday

By

The Kingfisher County Health Department has announced the return of the Kingfisher Farmer’s Market.

The season will begin Saturday, May 6, and will be held on the lot at 505 N. Main St.

Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to noon.

The market will continue to operate on the first and third Saturdays of every month through October.

“The market will benefit the community by supporting local growers, makers and bakers and by offering fresh fruits and vegetables to the town and its visitors,” said Isabella Valderrama, wellness coordinator for the Kingfisher County Healthy Living Program.

The market will offer a variety of products, including locally grown vegetables and fruits, fresh eggs, bread, muffins, jellies and jams, goat’s milk and goat milk soap, sweet treats, handmade candles, artwork and jewelry.

Vendors are welcome to participate at no cost by contacting the market’s Facebook page.

“I’m really excited to see the community of Kingfisher come alive by supporting local growers, makers and bakers. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a wonderful offering for our town and its visitors,” Valderrama said. “I can’t wait to welcome everyone who comes out and makes healthy living a priority for themselves and their families.”
