Eight members were present when the Hennessey Farmerettes met Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Eat It Up banquet room.

Dot Miller, president, opened the meeting and led the flag salute.

The devotion, “The Trinity - Three Gods in One” was given by Mary Curry.

Pansy Wheeler was welcomed as a new member.

Members answered roll call by telling about letting treasures go.

The minutes of the September meeting were approved as read.

The treasurer’s report was given by Jamie Akenhead.

Topics for the lessons next year were discussed and forms filled out listing the group’s choices and will be taken to the Extension Office.

Miller will attend the 4-H Banquet on Oct. 24 in Kingfisher.

A vote was taken to donate money to the Hennessey Care Center and the library to help them purchase candy to be distributed during Hennessey Fright Night.

No date has been set on Fall Council.

Curry gave the lesson on “Letting Go of Treasures.”

The meeting adjourned and Jean Stribel was announced the winner of the quarter drill.

Curry served snacks and refreshments.

The next meeting will be Nov. 11 in the home of Margie McConnell.
