FFA Week full of activities for members

By

The Kingfisher County Spring Livestock Show coincides this year with National FFA Week, giving members plenty of activities both inside and out of the show ring.

The first National FFA Week was celebrated in 1948 when the National FFA Board of Directors designated a weeklong celebration for all things FFA.

During this time, the nation also commemorates George Washington’s birthday, which falls on Feb. 22 and recognizes his legacy and contributions to the ag industry.

The National FFA Organization sets a week full of activities in which it encourages members to take part, including Service and Advocacy Day (Feb. 19), Alumni Day (Feb. 20), Ag Teacher Appreciation Day (Feb. 21), Give FFA Day (Feb. 22) and National Wear Blue Day (Feb. 23).
