Candidate filing for county offices begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, when the filing period opens, the Kingfisher County Election Board Shawna Butts said.

The filing period closes at 5 p.m. Friday, April 5.

Candidates for county offices file with the secretary of the County Election Board.

The following county offices are expected to be filled this year: Clerk, court clerk, sheriff and county commissioner (District 2).

Filing forms and information may be obtained by contacting the Kingfisher County Election Board at 405-375-3895 or kingfishercounty@ elections. ok.gov.

The Kingfisher County Election Board is located at 101 S. Main St., Room 8 and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Filing packets for county offices are also available for download on the State Election Board’s website at oklahoma.gov/ elections.
