Philippians 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Halloween is coming this next week. A money making holiday with sales of trick or treat candy reaching over four, that’s (4) billion dollars in the US alone. But at the root of this holiday is the celebration of the reality of evil spirits, led by the ruler of all evil spirits, the devil or lucifer. Jesus said he comes only to kill, steal and destroy all that is precious and loved by God. Haunted houses may be scary but they do not compare to the reality of lives destroyed by sin. Drugs that destroy minds and bodies. Lawlessness that promotes hatred, violence, and murder. Sin that rejects God’s plan for the family and instead promotes sexual promiscuity. Sin that leads to aborted and discarded children. Broken families.

So I just want to remind everyone “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil”. 1 John 3:8 Jesus is Lord of all, and he offers to bring us into his kingdom of light and love, to restore broken lives, marriages, and families.
