FITNESS FACILITY UPDATE

LIONS TALK FITNESS – Kingfi sher Police Sgt. Charles Trout discussed with Lions Club members last week about a project that’s a dream come true for him. Trout updated the civic group on the construction of the building and his vision for Muscle Pa’s Fitness Center. It will be located in the industrial park area on the south end of the city (near Cadalack’s Collision Center). “God blessed me with the opportunity to purchase the land,” he said. “This has been a dream of mine for some time.” On top of having all the standard gym equipment, Trout said Muscle Pa’s will be more than that. He wants to host events - such as 5k races - and have a youth program. “This is a community thing,” Trout said. “I wish I could tell you my vision. You’ll just have to see it.” He said he wants people to not be intimidated when using his facility. “My main goal is to make it an environment where you feel welcome,” he added. Trout said he is “hoping” for the facility to be ready by the first of 2024, but several construction factors beyond his control will determine that date. Trout has been with the KPD for nearly 15 years. He’s also an affi liate with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Crimes Against Children Unit. [KT&FP Staff Photo]
