Brenda Jimenez has been selected as the recipient of the 2023 John A. Francis Scholarship.

The $1,000 scholarship is presented annually by the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

A 2019 Kingfisher High School graduate, Jimenez is the daughter of Candelaria Jimenez and Pedro Jimenez.

While in high school, her honors and activities included National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, drama, speech and debate, Spanish Club, Student Council, Academic Award, Business Professionals of America and Mercy Hospital Student Career Council.

Jimenez is currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma.
