Kingfisher County Friends of the Library are sponsoring a gingerbread house contest this month.

Judging will take place Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Kingfisher Memorial Library.

Entries are due between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 15.

There will be four age groups: Kindergarten-second grade; third-sixth grade; seventh-12th grade; and adult.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top-three entries in each age group.

Contest rules include:

• One house per participant • Group entries are allowed

• Kits are allowed

• Limit the size to 12x12x12

• All decorations must be 100 percent edible, excluding the base.
