Garrett earns P.E.O. STAR Scholarship
Natalie Garrett of Kingfi sher has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2025 P.E.O. STAR Scholarship.
The scholarship awards Garrett $2,500 for the 2025-26 academic year.
The one-time scholarship from the national organization is available to women “who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.”
To be eligible for the national award, Garrett was nominated by the local Chapter Y of P.E.O.
That chapter has also awarded Garrett a $250 scholarship.
Garrett graduated over the weekend from Kingfi sher High School and is the daughter of Greg and Sara Garrett.
She was active in Student Council all four years, including serving as student body president her senior year.
She was also the STING philanthropy president, was vice president of the Center of Family Love Teen Board and was active in the Middle of a Miracle Teen Board, 84 and me, soccer, FCA and several other activities.
Garrett was inducted into both the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society.
She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a career as a pediatric nurse.
P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) Sisterhood is a non-profit volunteer women’s organization founded in 1869 in Iowa.
Its stated goal is to advance women through education.
