Glazier, Ott awarded scholarships
The Tulsa State Fair Ringmasters have awarded $2,000 scholarships to Kelby Ott and Rylee Glazier of the Lomega FFA chapter.
Ott and Glazier are said to have exhibited great character, work ethic and community involvement in earning the scholarships.
Applications are thoroughly evaluated by the Tulsa Community Foundation’s Tulsa Ringmasters Scholarship Selection Committee.
The criteria for selecting the deserving recipients includes: their involvement in extra curricular activities associated with high school and community participation, participation in the Tulsa State Fair Junior Livestock Shows and a short essay outlining their longterm educational goals.
Over 100 applications were received and 33 scholarships totaling $70,000 were awarded based on the established criteria.
The Tulsa State Fair Ringmasters are composed of a volunteer group from the Tulsa and surrounding areas.
The Ringmasters dedicate their time and effort each year to raise funds to support Oklahoma’s 4-H and FFA Youth through the Tulsa State Fair Junior Livestock Auction, and to help raise funds for the continued growth of the Tulsa State Fair Livestock Scholarship Fund.
