There was a coating of ice on outside receptacles Monday morning as the thermometer continued its slide into winter type temperatures.

The reading at 8 a.m. Monday in Kingfisher was a frigid 30 degrees.

While it wasn’t the coldest temperature of the autumn season, it felt chilly to those going to work or doing early morning outdoor chores.
