The Hennessey Golden Eagles members took their first bus tour to the Christmas light displays in Chickasha and Kingfisher on Dec 7.

Dover Christian Church allowed for use of its bus and Jimmy Berkenbile served as the group’s driver.

Arrangements were made by Tammy Patocka for the group to dine at Jake’s Rib in Chickasha.

We were awestruck when our meals were served due to the giant servings which brought on much laughter.

The weather was pleasant to be out taking in the sights of colorful light displays.

One that was real eye catching was a big Ferris wheel that kept changing colors.

The light displays reminded us that Jesus is the Light of the World and helped us get into the spirit of Christmas, “the reason for the season.”

Golden Eagles was formed for adults who have lost their spouse, or are single and in need of fellowship.
