The Kingfisher High School parking lot is going to have a decidedly more artistic look this year. The school announced late last month that this year’s senior class members had the option to purchase a parking spot in the lot directly west of the high school. Those who purchased a spot were then allowed to paint it provided their design proof was approved by KHS administrative staff. Pictured above is Hailey Bieren working on her design in the heat of the afternoon sun on Monday. The daughter of Mitchel and Stephanie Bieren, Hailey said she didn’t get too intricate or detailed with her design. “I’m not very artistic,” she claimed in her reasoning for going with a simple ‘H’ to fill the spot. Working alone, Hailey said her brother had originally offered to help. “Then he backed out. But that’s OK because it’s kind of peaceful out here working by myself.” [KT&FP Staff Photo]
