Happy Homemakers among those observing OHCE Week
Happy Homemakers club is a part of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) in Kingfisher County.
May 7-13 is OHCE week when the local organizations promote what they do in their communities throughout the year.
“As a part of OHCE, we seek to strengthen families in our community, help our community and develop leadership skills,” said Amy Tollison, president of Happy Homemakers.
“We strive to do local fundraising to donate to nonprofit groups such as Meals on Wheels and other local food banks, churches, libraries and schools.”
The group also participates annually in the county fair.
Happy Homemakers meet the second Tuesday of every month, except June. Meetings are at 6 p.m. at the Kingfisher Church of the Nazarene.
“Come visit a meeting if you are interested in joining OHCE,” Tollison said.
