Kingfisher High School seniors Keylun Combs and Mia Hartman are the September 2024 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfisher Lions Club.

Combs is the son of Tom and Erin Newell and Chris and Jamie Combs.

He’s active in FFA, is the chapter sentinel and previously served as parliamentarian, was a member of the national qualifying milk quality products team and is on the principal’s honor roll.

Combs also served as an American Legion Boys State delegate, is on the Center of Family Love Teen Board, involved at Edmond Crossings Church and is a lifeguard at the Vernie Snow Aquatic Center.

He plans to complete an associate’s degree at Oklahoma City Community College, then pursue a degree in speech pathology at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Hartman is the daughter of Chad and Leah Hartman.

She’s active in cheer, golf, STUCO, Students Stepping Up, FFA and serves as FFA treasurer.

Hartman was selected as Student of the Month, received the Academic Award, has 4.0 GPA and was on the national semifi nalist conduct of chapter meetings team and received FFA agricultural sales state high individual.

She’s also on the Center of Family Love Teen Board, is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society and is involved in First Baptist Church Kingfisher youth group.

Hartman plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in pre-professional applied exercise science with plans to pursue a career as a physical therapist.
