Hennessey board to discuss hiring interim administrator at special meeting Tuesday

Hennessey’s Board of Trustees will discuss hiring an interim administrator in an executive session during a 5:30 p.m. special meeting Tuesday, June 27, at Town Hall.

The KT&FP was told that the Oklahoma Municipal Management Services has found nearby experienced candidates to consider for that position.

Trustees will continue to search through OMMS for a permanent replacement.

An interim administrator will allow David Treanor, acting town administrator, to go back fulltime in the public works department.

That’s where he has served as superintendent of the parks and cemetery departments, pool and splash pad operator and as the town’s building inspector.

Treanor, who has worked for the town more than 10 years, was named acting administrator in February.

That was after the abrupt resignation of Administrator Tiffany Tillman, who recommended Treanor for the interim job.

The Utilities Authority is also scheduled to meet after the board of trustees.

They will vote on adding a fire hydrant and valve at the corner of West 5th and Dunlap streets at a cost of about $9,950.

That would be a change order on a waterline replacement REAP Grant project.
