Hennessey board may act on appointment Tuesday
Hennessey’s town trustees could appoint a trustee to replace resigned Mayor Clif Vogt during their monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Town Hall.
Acting Mayor Harold Shaw told the Times & Free Press via text Thursday evening he’d have that item placed on this month’s agenda.
Other Town Trustees are David Jones, Bert Gritz and Randy Bohnstedt.
Appointment
Trustees opted last month to appoint someone to the remaining two years of Vogt’s four-year term.
Town Attorney Jared Harrison recommended accepting applications for the board instead of waiting until the town’s April 2025 election.
Volunteers for Board
These six community members (listed in order of applications received) have volunteered to serve on that board as of Friday morning:
Frank Patton, office manager for Iron Eagle Resources in Hennessey.
Regina Wanzer, activity and social services director for Summers Health Services.
Tim Riddle, branch manager and vice president for Hennessey Community State Bank.
Logan Tillman, plant manager at Croell, Inc.
Michael Grace, road crew member for Kingfisher County District 2.
Mark Smith, compressor mechanic for Mustang Gas.
For more information on these candidates see print or web issues of The Times & Free Press at www. kingfisherpress. net.
Monthly Stipend
The mayor receives $125 a month, and the vice mayor and other trustees get $75 a month.
