Hennessey Farmerettes elect officers at meeting

By

The Hennessey Farmerettes met Nov. 11 in the home of Margie McConnell.

Eleven members were present for the 10 a.m. meeting.

The business portion of the meeting was opened by Dot Miller, president, who also led the flag salute.

The inspirational devotionals were given by Mary Curry.

Roll call was answered with each member telling something about chocolate.

The minutes of the October meeting were approved as read and the treasurer’s report was given.

Reports were heard from the four members who recently attended Kingfisher County Council.

A new method of notifying members about dates and times was approved.

The following were elected to serve as officers for the upcoming year: Miller, president; Lily Rourke, vice president; McConnell, secretary; Jamie Akenhead, treasurer.

Plans for the group’s December special outing were discussed with several ideas. It was decided to journey to Cedar Gates south of Loyal for lunch and visit those facilities on Dec. 9. Husbands are also invited.

Two new members - DeDee Krueger and Dana Zook - were welcomed.

Following the business meeting, sack lunches were eaten.

The afternoon was spent working on the club scrapbook with much visiting and fellowship.

McConnell served late afternoon snacks and drinks.
